Three Process Steps

1. Discover the Authentic You

Involves the Principle of Insight

The LYP process begins by having you look deep inside yourself and explore the values and beliefs you have been living with for most of your life.  Because this exercise is reflective and personal, people often describe it as feeling "spiritual," leading them to new insights and perspectives about themselves and about life.  Next, the process has you take an inventory of your likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, natural abilities, aptitudes, and purpose.  Once you've completed these exercises you'll have a better understanding of yourself and the direction you would like to go in your life.

2. Explore Life's Options

Involves the Principle of Choice

The new insights you've gained from your previous work have prepared you for exploring options and making positive choices to move your life in the direction you want to go.  If you feel lost, you may want to explore a career change or volunteering for a cause you feel passionate about.  You may have discovered an aptitude you didn't know you had and want to explore  a new hobby.  This part of the LYP process is where you start with a completely blank piece of paper, take what you've learned about yourself, and start to identify those things that allow you to use your strengths and abilities and are in perfect harmony with your values.

3. Plan Your Journey

Involves the Principle of Action

The final part of the LYP process involves creating a detailed plan that will move you from thinking about your passion to living your passion.  It's a key part of the process because it guides you through a series of questions that help you develop a strategy for achieving your goal.

Many readers have commented that following the LYP process, and using the tools, has helped them create positive change leading to greater happiness and meaning in their lives.
